Even though we lost I think it will serve us well long term that Hornbeak got some crunch time minutes.
Didn't play well.
And it's not that Hornbeak played better, but I think LK used that game to kind of "teach" Woodard a bit. Let him know that he will bench him if he isn't doing the things we need him to do.
I don't think Kruger set Woodard down to get his attention or to make a point. He set him down because he wasn't playing well. Hornbeak didn't shine either. But, that is beside the point. Kruger was just trying to win the game.
By playing a player that's not as good? Woodard on his worse day is better than Hornbeak on his best. Game management was horrible down the stretch by the guards.
First part of this post is absolutely ridiculous.

It is but not by much
Jordan's worse game this season may have been his game @ kansas:
5 pts, 20% FG, 50% FT, 1 rebound, 2 assists, 2 TOs
Hornbeake's best game this year?
vs Idaho: 12 pts, 57% FG, 50% FT, 4 reb, 6 ass, 2 TO
Not by much? Is that serious? Not to mention all the stuff Hornbeak does that doesn't show up in the stat sheet like playing solid defense, making the extra pass, being able to spell multiple guys because of his versatility to play multiple positions.
Some of you guys talk about Hornbeak like he's some scrub we had to fill in as a practice body. He's a solid Big12 contributor with a gimp foot, when he gets healthy and when he has a full healthy offseason he will be a great contributor. As a junior and senior he could be one of the best 6th man in the conference.
After Buddy's injury he was a shell of himself the rest of the year, safe bet is that it is hinduring his play significantly.
I'm sure it is effecting his performance, I haven't seen him attack the rim near as much as he did earlier in the season.
