Scores 26 as Tennessee destroys Mercer. Another Okie we did not offer that we should have. Same with Spangler going to Gonzaga (Capel), and James Woodard from Tulsa (15.5 pts a game), who had an outstanding year. Jacob Parker from Bixby averaged almost 15 for Stephen F. Austin. We have lots of talent in our state. We just need to give em a chance.

Come on... another thread about this... YOU CANT OFFER EVERY IN STATE KID...

Which one or two of buddy, isiah, or jelon are you not taking because of Richardson or james??

Please tell me!!!!!!

Can't ever have enough depth for the future. Especially in the back court. Injuries are very common. Who do we have behind them? Just Booker?

the other night they were interviewing the Tennessee coach and he brought up Richardson ... called him a great worker. That made me think he'd be good in C&C - but you're right we can't offer everyone.

We only have so many scholarships.

Richardson was a Capel screwup right?? So if that is the case we could have took him and not had to cut any of the three you mentioned

Haha well Buddy disappears come postseason time. Jelon didn't do much all year. So having Jordan's brother and Richardson would not be a bad trade. The fact that they're okies is just a cherry on top. There's your answer.

Here are James' numbers in the postseason:

03/02 vs. Texas-San Antonio 19
03/06 at North Texas 18
03/13 vs. Tulane 24
03/14 vs. Middle Tennessee 19
03/15 at Louisiana Tech 27 (who beat OU) TU won
03/21 at UCLA 11

MVP of his conference tourney. 19 pts vs OU.

Plus he's a lefty. Reminds me of Terrell Everett.

Cuonzo Martin had been recruiting him awhile for Missouri State and was quick to bring him on board at Tennessee. Would've been a MVC star, but I think had Martin stayed at Missouri State, Richardson would've eventually landed a couple bigger offers.

Could've given him Henry's scholarship. Or Casey Arent.

So cut buddy and jelon for James and Josh.... You my friend are brilliant!

If they were in classes before them then why does it matter? We could have them all. Better than Nick Thompson or Casey Arent.

From what I've seen of the 2, they both love to penetrate and draw fouls. What did Buddy do against Baylor and ND State? Shoot nothing but 3's like he has all year. That's soft. That cost us big time against them, he needs more aggressiveness.

I watched Josh in HS and some AAU games and I to would have loved to see him here at OU but it looked like LK had another avenue hs wanted to take. I think Buddy and the rest of the team have alot of work to do in the offseason, especially on defense.

Tough competition...!

OU needed a PG and Big... Sometimes you just cant take EVERY PLAYER IN THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA.

Hindsight is 20/20...

It was said on the telecast tonight that Richardson is a jokester, and to the point that Martin had a meeting with him at the end of the season telling him to be serious in the game.

He sure had a nice game today.

I'll take richardson over hornbeak every day of the week!!! And Woodard over him too!!! Not sure on Cousins yet. I'll hang on to Buddy tho!!! Lol
