Things that worry me about this guy:
A) "Nagging injury" and "270lbs" go terribly together. Far be it for me to assume the kid's build based on numbers alone, but that kind of weight coupled with an injury, especially to the back or lower body can be a severe impediment where on a frame that bears less weight a comparable injury could be smoothed out orthopedically.
B) So is this guy a stretch-4 based on his ability to step out and make face-up shots? 6'10/270 is more than sufficient to play center in college, but does that indicate he's a defensive liability at the pivot? Would he have to platoon his minutes, in other words.
C) Kruger's tendencies are up-tempo. Nagging injury + frame may make this kid a tenuous fit at best once Kruger's recruits take the bulk of minutes over from the Capel Legacy crew.
But size and versatility may compensate, if the staff likes him enough to offer a scholly. It just seems like between Bennett, Elliott, Spangler, Cole, and M'Baye that minutes in the post may be rare for JUCO projects -- at least for the amount of eligibility he's got.
