That's it, right there.

If we get Julius Randle, then Amath runs the 5 and Randle the 4.

My fingers are still crossed on that one

Not sure if you were putting them in order, but if so I would swap Heild and Hornbeak.

1. Woodard - pure PG
2. Hornbeak - combo guard, can play some point
3. Heild - taller of the guards, very good rebounding guard
4. Amath
4. Spangler/Elliott
5. Bennett/Hamilton

Think depending if we have to go big we will start a center like Bennett or Hamilton, but if we can go small it will be Spangler or Elliott.

Think 1-4A are more than likely to stay though. 4B and 5 are the most fluid

If one were to start with the premise that Kruger wanted to be two deep at every position, then the starting lineup would have to be different than those offered. I don't know that he will. But, when given the opportunity this year, that is what he has done.

If he goes with Woodard, Hornbeak, Heild, M'Baye, and Spangler, that could be a hard to beat group. But, that would leave Cousins the only player coming off the bench to be a sub for 3 positions. That would also leave Bennett, Elliot, Clark, and Hamilton on the bench with the need to sub for only two spots. I'm leaving Tyler out on purpose.

It all depends on how all the bigs develope and who is the last signee. But, it could work out that Clark goes back to the 3 and mayby even M'Baye too. And of course it depends if Woodard is a ready to play freshman.

Not to be a spelling Nazi, but not a one of the above posts spelled Hield correctly. Come on guys, he is our next great player. :D

My guess would be:

PG: Woodard
SG: Hornbeak
OG: Hield
PF: M'Baye
C: Spangler

OG does not stand for Original Gangster. Stands for Other Guard. I hate calling that position the SF spot, b/c in college, that is rarely what it is. I suppose Bennett or one of the JUCO bigs could win the center spot, but I really think LK wants Spangler in there.

Oh, and there is no way Randle wouldn't start if he came here. None.

I think Clark has a descent chance to start. He will have a lot of experience having been a major contributor this year and two year starter. With that said, I think Woodar, Hornbeak, Hield, M'Baye and Spangler.

Not a starting question.....but where does Cole fit in next year? Is he a 3 or a 4? Might he become Tyler Neal when Neal graduates?

I think Cole will take Neal's minutes. I think he is going to be a nice player. Hustle guy, rebounder, take charges, defend with effort, decent athlete.

Cole looked pretty raw to me all through fall practice. It will be interesting to see how much shine the staff has put on him by Oct.

What have you seen of Cole to say one of his strengths will be taking charges? Such a random skill to say he'll be adept at.

I assume a combination of his height, underratedness and skin pigment.

Nothing really in particular. If you have seen him, he just seems to be that type of player. A smaller Najera? Like Gary said, he is a bit rough right now but it seems to me any min he gets will be max effort mins and I put drawing charges under that category. Basically a complete guess on my part...
