Some of the same people who are getting upset about someone saying Randle may not start, are some of the same posters who anointed Osby as the next coming of Ace McGee, and M'Baye as a one and done top 3 pick in the draft....
It's all based on potential, and you saying it's a penciled foregone conclusion shows you are probaby fairly young, with little sports/hoops experiences.
History is full of high potential H.S. superstars who didn't survive two months on a campus.
I don't know much about randle other than what rankings say, and the few posters here who actually have seen him play, and know how to evaluate talent. You act like Original Sooner said he wasn't GOOD ENOUGH to start. he never said that. He said it may be a situation where LK decides to bring him up slowly, or Randle doesn't pick things up as fast as he could/should. What if the kid comes in out of shape, or he deals with a nagging injury that slows his transition?????
There are a ton of reasons why the kid might not start day one, and many of them are always possible. To act like the poster is crazy for suggesting it, then continuing to evaluate his coaching ability when none of us know who he coaches, where he coaches, and what level he coaches, it screams of spoiled Sooner football fans who want to turn this board into OF, where all differing opinions receive an attack back, name calling, and eventual trips to message board thread hell.........
I have no problem with the disagreeing, and I have no problem with the debate, but the personal attacks on an unknown posters ability is juvenile at best, IMO.....
THE KID WOULD START FROM DAY ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And Kruger would not bring him off the bench...b/c Randle wouldn't come here to come off the bench to relieve M'Baye or Spangler or Bennett or whatever juco player who couldn't hold his jock strap.
If the Harrison Twins came here...They would start.
Were talking about the best power forward out of high school!!! And anyone that would bring him off the bench is a moron!
