Apparently received a nomination for the McDonalds game. Im not sure how this works. Does that mean he is in or placed in a pool to be selected?

They nominate over 300 boys. Kristian Doolittle and Jakolby long were nominated as well.

Ah, gotcha. I thought as much, although after watching him on espnu a couple times i think he can score with any of them.

Thanks for posting the highlight video, usedtobe1!

Kam McGusty is going to be special. It may be hard to keep him out of the starting lineup next season. Am I the only one who thinks his stroke from three looks a lot like this year's repeat POY winner in the Big 12?

Sames like a longer athlete than Buddy. A little bit better, more natural shooter/scorer than Buddy. Better looking ball handler and very smooth. He's going to have to get more sudden at this level to get shoots off.

The question will be: Will he, James and Odomes WORK like Buddy and Isaiah? If the answer is even close to yes then OU basketball will be fine imo.

I think James and Odomes will work. We'll see about McGusty and the rest.

There was a tweet from Odomes at 3:25 in the morning in the practice gym after they got back from Kansas. If he was fired up enough to go practice, I'm betting he's going to put in the work.

We don't know that he actually practiced. That is probably about the time the team got back to the gym from the KU game, right?

lol. And Christian james tweeted a picture of the gun. I bet he waited till buddy was done and snapped it and took the credit.

I think they will be along with several others. Guys who dont work hard, dont last here.

see woodard, spangler, walker, lattin, jamuni, all greatly improved.

The good thing is that is contagious. They have seen Buddy and Isaiah do it and they will watch them do it after this season as they prepare for the draft. Hopefully Woodard, Lattin, Buford, James, Odomes, Manyang, etc. have got the condition and will pass it on to the new guys.

Ha that would be a slick move there. I bet he was so hyped from that game that he practiced with his fresh legs! :D

I'm not saying he didn't shoot some, or workout/practice, just wanted to point out that he didn't roll out of bed at 3 in the morning to go work on his game. He was just getting back from Kansas. haha

But all the guys seem to work hard. I'm not really worried about that.

McGusty has great handles and shot. He finishes well, but I do not think that he jumps quite as well as Buddy. What I love about his offensive game is that he shoots a floater if he can not get to the rim.
If Buddy and Cousins had a great floater they would be even more awesome.

That's more impressive IMO, he was up all day, flew to and from Lawrence, went through shoot around, warm-ups, and cheered his team on from the bench all game, then got back at 3:30 and when most would go to bed, he decided to put work in.

Buddy's hops are better now than when he was a freshman imo. The only thing separating Killa Kam from being elite is hard work.
