It's been the same all year, if OU's assist to turnover ratio is positive, they win. In the first meeting, OU +10 in assists, while ISU was - 2.

Every other stat was essentially the same. If you recall, ISU came out smoking from beyond the arc, in fact both teams finished the game shooting threes at a 48% clip! Dang! ISU made 14, while OU had 10 triples.

So what does OU need to do tonight to take care of the ball and tally some assists? You almost always think about guards, but it was Thomas who really made the offense go the first time around.

*Thomas had 5 assists and ZERO turnovers against ISU, as they worked the pick and roll a lot. Thomas is the key - to me, but.....

* Woodard has to be great tonight. Not at scoring, but at handling ball pressure from their guards and getting OU into either pick and roll with Thomas or the three-guard weave.

*Cousins has to play well at the point, when Woodard is getting a blow. He doesn't have to score, he just needs to get OU into whatever offensive set seems to be working

*Buddy needs to really be Buddy - like he was against the Cyclones the first time around. Points in bunches. Speed on the break, not settling for 3's.

I think it will be hard, really hard for OU to win tonight as it just doesn't seem they have been hitting on all cylinders recently. Tonight would be a good night to have everyone going!

I'll be screaming from my couch as usual!

It is always important to get defensive rebounds and limit second chance opportunities. This can be especially true against a team that will kick-out an offensive rebound to a wide open 3-point shooter.

Fight and hustle. Get our share of 50-50 loose balls.

Make Free Throws. Please.

I think the key is Ryan. If Ryan has a great start, it seems to me the team feeds off of him. I think all of our Bigs have to play well.

Agree with this. We have the advantage with our post to post passing ... While McKay is VERY good, he is alone in the post. Thomas especially has a huge advantage against everyone guarding him.

Limit turnovers and work inside/out. Lock down when they start to make a run.

My fear is that we get into a track meet game like the first. In ISU's building, they will beat us by double digits doing that. Really think we've got to get out in transition offensively, but make sure we are getting back on defense.

Defense travels. OU must play well on defense from the opening minute to the final second.

We cannot afford to let them get hot from 3 like they did in Norman in the first half. Getting down 10 at home is one thing. Getting down 10 on the road is another. GUARD THE 3!

Definitely, I agree and limit second chance points.
