I guarantee if we start beating them regularly ever again these comments and threads diminish by 75 percent unless she does something spectacularly crazy in a game against us.

AMEN!! We welcome the challenge!

Somebody needs to wake up and smell the roses. At least we MADE the Elite 8 for the 3rd consecutive time! When or IF OU ever makes it that far again then you can make comments regarding our level of performance. How bout winning a conference title first! You need to lay off the sour grapes, Sweet OU Girl!

So the end justifies the means? Really? We've won our share of conference championships in case you've forgotten that. I would certainly rather win or lose with dignity than what we've witnessed down there in Wacko Waco. She's an embarrassment but I guess as long as she wins that's all that matter. Integrity obviously doesn't really matter. Shameful! She lost control and then lost control of her team. Yes free throws hurt but there was more to it than that.

Yes, yes you did. However, with the talent you had, you SHOULD have made it to the Championship game.

With the talent WE had, we should have made it to the sweet sixteen.

I would say both of us fell a little short. The difference is, no one is talking about OU's coach and her antics and how they reflect upon our school. And don't kid yourself. Its not just this board. I promise you that the first time I saw video of the "jacket toss" on ESPN, the audio was this guy who was just beside himself. He actually said stuff like "look, look there she goes again!! she's crazy!!" All the while, laughing his head off.

Now, the next day when I went back, that audio had been replaced with Doris or whoever was calling the game.

I am all for defending your own team, but don't come onto OUR board and chastise US for sour grapes. Our opinions pretty much reflect the national conversations.

Besides, we have enough sour grapes reserved for our own team. Who has the time to waste them on Baylor?

And don't come on to our board and tell us what we can say! Now away Got Sulk!

I go to a Basketball Officials Forum occasionally to see what the officials are discussing. I think that most of the participants in the forum are high school referees, but I'm not 100% sure. There was a lot of discussion about the violations on the late game throw-in at the men's game at KU in January, for instance. When I went there today, there's a multi-page thread on Kim Mulkey's behavior in the Baylor/Oregon state game.

Great to see that some officials (albeit high school) see the exact same thing that all, except Hypocrite U fans and a few supposed OU fans, see. The bad thing about it is NCAA and D1 officials allow it to come to this. If she were T'd up as much as she should have been in her career, she either wouldn't act like this as much or she'd be out of a job. What a HORRIBLE example for student athletes, fans and TV viewers she is! But she gathers attention for the institution of Hypocrite U and they love it! SMH!

This was interesting as well, from apparent women's collegiate official:

Those of us who work NCAAW will let the Forum know what is said about the situation on next fall's NCAAW officiating video since I'd be shocked if it isn't on it. Mulkey seems to have her own section every year.

Unless the officials are all OU alumni, it is interesting that officials have such an image of Mulkey that she is said to have her own section every year.

The fact that there is a Mulkey thread on an officials forum is interesting. Then, the fact that it is apparently a common thing should send a message to those in charge of the NCAA and Big Twelve. Nobody has sanctioned her with anything legitimate. It is time to consider closing the Baylor program unless they are willing to do something to get rid of her image. Thus far, the NCAA reminds me of the $10,000 fine a corporation got for an $80, 000,000 fraud. It would seem to be a benefit to steal another $80 million.

If Sherri was as petty and mean spirited as the majority of posters on this thread, you guys would want to cut her loose.

*gag*

Oh. I thought you said "If Sherri was as pretty and mean spirited as the majority of posters on this thread, you guys would want to cut her loose.

Well, she's not anything like that - so it's a moot point. Skeletor, on the other hand, is just that. End o' story.

Syb has found the answer to OU moving up in the B12......."closing the Baylor program." But then there's Texas, so looks like OU will still be a runner up. Maybe Baylor and Texas both leave, THEN OU might be on top....maybe.

If Madam Dragonfly ever became the coach at OU I would stop following OU basketball.

UConn being in the sheety American Athletic Conference hasn't stopped it from dominating WBB (yet), but I can definitely see this as a long-term solution. Louisiana Tech was once a top WBB program, but being mid-major can only get you so far --- less money, less TV exposure, small fanbases (both home and opposing) --- it eventually catches up.

Really, now that we have TCU as our token private school to keep the conference from being subjected to all FOIAs, we can dump the original (Baylor) and not worry. The DFW is way more valuable than Austin-South to our footprint. If we dump Baylor, we could pick up another Texas school without too much worry (i.e. Houston) and get a more valuable fanbase and footprint than Waco.

So yes, I fully endorse "closing" Baylor by kicking them out of the Big 12 :D
