Kobe looked very rusty tonight. Not sure how much he will get back at this point.

He didn't gun em out tonight, but his presence did mess with chemistry. Meeks, Henry, Johnson, Blake, Farmar, & N. Johnson have been playing well. The team was moving fast and using their athleticism. Gasol offers very limited post presence at this time, and J. Hill actually plays better with those guys because of his athleticism.

U could tell the guys were timid playing with Kobe, not knowing if they could continue to shoot at will, share the ball, etc. Kobe tried to blend in by passing first, but he had 8 or 9 TO's, and his presence just took them out of rhythm.

I'm sure he will play better, but not sure how he fits with these young guns......

It took Dirk a full year after his minor knee procedure last season. It's hard to comprehend what a high level these guys play at. I was surprised they took out X for Kobe in the 4th qtr. the second unit was drastically outperforming the starters.

D'Antoni usually rides the hot hands. I expect he will go back to that after tonight. Kobe will get back to his high caliber play but it's going to take months, not days or even weeks.

I agree 100%.
