We lost because Konate outplayed our big men. It is very hard to outplay Trae Young. The only way we lose is other team big men outplay our bigs. Our bigs are not physical enough. Can't believe Khadeem haven't improve ever since he was a freshman. On another note, Manek is such good shooter, why can't we screen to get Manek open to shoot the three?

Yes he did. Next time we can’t let them make it that kind of game.

He careered it tonight. He won’t do that again against us but they do get asa whatever his name is back.

It seemed like he hit 4 or 5 shots in that low percentage mid-range area. Exactly the shot you want them taking. If he's gonna hit those all night then tip your cap.

Frustrating how many assists Young could have had if Lattin would go up strong. I just not understand how he can be so soft around the basket. He needs to channel some of his grandfather.

This is my belief as well... I think we lost because missed 9 free throws, shot 35% from three and the refs let a lot go tonight. The third one is something you cannot control, so, it’s not really a reason we lost, but it allows them to dictate style of play. TBH I thought the 2nd half was a much better called half by Zebras, but the first half was so atrocious it’s worth mentioning. If you knock down some open 3 ‘s and 5-6 more free throws it’s a different game.

Play much better defense and it's a better game. You're exactly right, Kadeem hasnt improved even a little bit since he got here. I dont think it's the coaches fault. He just doesnt have a basketball mindset.

I thought the difference in the game was OU not converting layups/dunks off of press break. The WV defense rotated to the rim to block or challenge almost every "easy" basket. Without scoring easy baskets against the press, you allow WV to dictate the pace and beat you up.

Missing FTs didn't help either.

What drove me nuts was when they beat the press they drove in for the challenged layup every single time, rather than kicking the ball out for open 3s. Guys not named Trae took 8 3s yesterday. Given how this roster is constructed, that's unacceptable. They need at least 20 per game.

I am in total agreement with this comment. Manek was wide open on multiple occasions as was Freeman when he was in the game. Both were open down the court only to have a guard drive the lane and get rejected, walk or turn the ball over. Very frustrating to watch. BTW the TCU game was very much the same way only we found a way to win that game.

There will be some growing pains. Overall still a young team, but frustrating to watch sometimes.

Khadeem is very soft. He also just plays stupid getting senseless fouls. It would be nice if he could actually be strong enough to get the ball to the rim.
