2.75 million a year through 2020 with $500k stay bonuses before 2015 and 2016.

With all the news out regarding raises and the crazy new football facilities anybody hear anything on hoops/LNC ?

Had no idea this was in play today. Pumped we extended him for 4 more seasons... beyond awesome what he can do with our team in that time and a potential new arena

good news i suppose, based on the current trend of the team. but kruger better start getting it done in march!! im getting tired of first round exits

Look at who he's bringing in.
First round exits will not be the norm.

I have heard to expect something regarding LNC and LDM in September.

Might be true, might not. I think that chatter is nothing more than message board fodder at this point.

I think something will get done, just not sure a couple of months after trying to raise $400M for football is the best time to ask for money for the other sports. Might be a project better suited for once the football stuff is mostly done.

Being able to complain about our ncaa performances 2 out of his 3 seasons is something I wouldn't have bet on even being a possibility. Capel left the cupboard bare and on probation, no less. Amath MBaye would have helped last season, too. Besides, we technically lost in the second round both seasons! I keeeed.

This helps with future recruiting. With Kruger's age some recruits might think that he could retire before they graduate, this can assure them that he'll be around for a while.

i HATE that sooo much... it screws up all the records from now on...

"oh we atleast made it to the secound round two years in a row from 2013-14"

i hate the play-in games too. now that they've gone from 16 seed matchups to random ones.. i dont even get how they're done.. it just makes the tournament more ridiculous

High five?

As for Kruger, love everything about the man and I am happy to see this.

We all are. But given a choice, I'd rather go out in the first round of the NCAA than have back to back seasons before Kruger arrived when we didn't even sniff the NIT.

IMO, Lon is worth every penny!

Smart move. Even if he doesn't finish it out it removes the ability of other teams to use his retirement as a negative. He's in great shape though. Expect he will coach the entire contract.
