Some posters on this board have been high on K-State. I think the jury is still out. They sit at 4-1 and have two nice wins at home over OU and OSU, but in their one road game of "significance".....they got drilled at KU and it was over at halftime. I want to see how they react to playing "decent to good" teams on the road. Weber has a very good Big 12 record when you eliminate KU from the mix. The eye test tells me that they just don't have the horses this year like they had the last two years. If they win at Texas tonight, I will become a believer.
If Texas wants to go to something other than the NIT or CBI, they need to get some signature wins (Iowa State no longer counts because everyone is beating them). As such, I will take whorn over purple kansas
Huge opportunity for KSU. We still don't know how good they are and this will tell us a lot more. Bigger game for Texas - they need to protect the home court.
Impressed with K-State tonight. They are so good at dictating the tempo and making you play their game. I don't know if they'll win, but they are a solid team and a definite tournament team.
