He announced today that this is his last season because he wants to start a pro career and help his family. Totally understandable and why I’ve expected all along that the vast majority of seniors across the country won’t come back unless there are extenuating circumstances, like injuries. Guys will likely either want to start a pro career or move on to life after basketball.

Disappointing, but understand completely. A full offseason and normal year he could have flourished.

I hope he's able to provide a nice life for his family.....

This is where I wish I was a wealthy industrialist who could hire someone in his family and pay well so he can develop more at OU.

Hope he flourishes and makes bank out there.

I hope at least one of the other bigs we have can develop quickly. Kuath is certainly not elite but he sure provides needed help for both offense and defense at certain times. Would love to be able to match his skills with other guys who have his length.

Good plan, but the Daimion Collins family would have been the way to go. A non starter is rarely considered a big loss. I do hope Kur is successful.

Well... Give us all you have for 12-13 more games!!!

It's nice of him to not wait until the last minute to announce his decision.

Yes, it was. I'm disappointed, but for purely selfish reasons.

Guessing overseas? Not to bad mouth but surely he isn’t thinking nba..?..

For sure overseas. His family has very little means. Good luck to him. He has improved every year and would have more next year. He will be able to make some money though.

While I was hoping Kur could come back next year, he has my utmost respect and best wishes in whatever he chooses to do in the future! Nothing I would like more than to see him continue his success at the next level and be in a position to give his family a better life.

Best of luck to you, Kur!
