and smack the crap out of the Clips.

ugly ugly ugly

that was every bit as bad as any game the clips played last season.

Lakers made stars out of Meeks and Xavier Henry.

The Lakers don't have any crybabies on this current roster. This team is not as talented as great Laker teams, but they will compete. The young guys want to play/win.

My expectations are low, and I believe it will be a fun year, with a few surprises. Good to see Gasol, Farmer, Xavier, and Young having fun playing basketball again.......

I will bet money that the clips finish higher than the lakers this year.

One game

Chris Kaman was an underrated pickup in the off season, and will play well if he stays healthy. With Gasol's health history, Chris will soon get plenty of playing time...

The last major decision made by Jerry Buss was to select D'Antoni over Phil Jackson. He specifically said "it will be fun for the fans, showtime". The ball movement last night was crisp. They attacked constantly. They had a nice 4th quarter but can play a lot better. Young, Williams & Johnson shot a combined 5 for 26. When they shoot over 50% the Lakers are going to score 120+. A good barometer of athleticism is rebounding. Lakers dominated the boards 52-40.

I don't know about you guys but Blake Griffin is a slacker to me. Lots of posing, not much hustle.

I've come to the conclusion that you really are just a troll posting opposing opinions to get a response out of people. that is the only logical explanation for the majority of your posts

Fun to watch a team play with great emotion and purpose. Laker game was played for the faithful…now it’s on.

I was NOT impressed with Blake's game last night. I'd like to know what he worked on in the off-season because his effort made it look like he worked mostly on commercials.

But yes, it's one game. I understand.

Nothing surprising about last night. The Warriors are the deepest, most skilled, athletic team in the west. When they thump the Thunder in the Bay Area homerbounce will be nowhere to be found.

The only ? about that squad is Mark Jackson's coaching because the roster is loaded & unlike okc they can spend whatever it takes to keep it intact.

OKC has a higher payroll than GS.

GS may "thump" OKC this year, I don't know. I'll take my chances with OKC though. They were 3-1 vs them last year and 13-5 vs them since OKC has had a team.

GS is a deep team. I'm sure they aren't happy that you have jumped on their bandwagon. They finished with under 50 wins last year. Thunder had 60. What has GS done to thump the thunder? Added AI? Is that enough to thump OKC? Maybe but I doubt it.

OKC is pretty skilled and athletic as well. We will see about depth. right now it doesn't look great but it could be a decent bench with reggie, lamb, collision, fisher and adams.

Compared to the last two years, our bench lacks scoring.
Not a scorer in the group. Lamb, maybe, but not a consistent threat.

Reggie, when his back is healthy, will possibly be a threat. But I question
whether he can score when Durant's not on the court.

Not having Harden and not having K Mart are big drops. Both had
long range consistency and both were 90% FT shooters who could
get to the line. Nobody in the current group fits that description.

Kmart was overrated. Each month his shooting percentage declined. By the end of the year he was horrid
