I saw on espnHoopGurlz that OU is still considering an unsigned senior from Texas named Taylah Thomas. She is a 6'1" forward and from the youtube video I saw her in looks like she has some potential, could be like an Amanda Thompson or Sharane Campbell type of player from what i saw. Looks like a good athlete. Any thoughts anyone?

that's crazy! what are we doing wrong here? we should win several of these recruiting battles against less successful teams!

This has been a constant theme for years. It doesnt change and I believe wont. We can expect to remain where we are. I pull hard for the girls but am prepared to see us remain at 3 or 4 in the league and, on a good year, second.

Sad, but true.

It should be clear now to everyone, even the sunshine pumpers. What are we doing?

A BIG, FAT NOTHING!

I always love being enlightened by you Syb.

So what has this program been doing while all these transfers signed elsewhere and while players announce their commitments to other schools?

What has the program been doing or accomplished since the last big news story on Sherri's changed recruiting process made us look like fools because the two players spotlighted in that article left or were kicked off the team within days of publication?

I guess we were losing players and kicking them off to the point we can barely field two scrimmage teams. I guess that is doing something.

But what else, oh Mighty Syb? Enlighten us.Tell us a general story. Give a detailed one, you know so much.

Let's see. The program has been to eighteen straight NCAA appearances, three Final Fours, and resurrected it from the attitudes of those who disrespected it in the first place. In the meantime, became a Hall of Fame coach, the only one in the Big Twelve, I believe, and had a child. The accomplishments of those who criticize her constantly?

That is all good, but, what has she done lately?

I'm not sure even if Sherri Coale cares anymore. She got rich, she got older, she knows it's a up hill battle now in the big 12 for OU. For those that think things will change..forget it, not gonna happen. This coming year could really get ugly if things happen, and it falls all on Sherri Coale..imo

Exactly. I don't argue Sherri's history. She deserves to be in the hall of fame.

But sports is all about what have you done lately -- and Sherri hasn't done squat. Now, that might change over the next couple of years, but, then it might not.

And I was specifically talking about this spring and summer while everyone else is clearly out working us.

Typical Syb, he always tries to change the equation when he doesn't like the correct answer.

Does he have any credibility with anyone any more?

He has about same amount of credibility now as in the past with me

Giving Sherri credit for having a kid while coaching was a nice new touch.
Not sure how that's relevant at all today for being 6 under the scholarship limit.
But hey 23 years ago she had a kid. Go team.

Coale made the program relevant on the national stage, it also made her a rich woman in a sport that is a huge financial loser.

The program is no longer relevant on the national stage but she continues to get rich and the program continues to lose money.

How long before she either rights the ship or a change is made?

I actually laughed out loud three times reading this!!!!! Great post.

Yeah, and I spit coffee all over my keyboard every time I read one of your posts.

It's fine that your opinions differ from syb's and many other posters. But do they always have to be so predictably negative?

Maybe it's the play of Sherri's teams recently that is the real negative lately?

The only positive in the program I see right now is that Sherri appears to be having a couple of solid recruiting years this year and next.

If they pan out, our fortunes could change and it would be a signal that Sherri is getting the program moving in a positive, forward way.

I am hoping for that.

I'm just not sure she can accomplish it.
