Lattin with sprained knee per John Shinn

...

@john_shinn: Kruger on Lattin injury: Alex (Brown) said he could've gone back in in the second half.

Great news!

Lattin's stats may not be all that great, but he had a very nice game today. His defense is much improved, plus he is changing a lot of shots with his length. I'm impressed with his progress.

Reporter at Soonerscoop said Lon told him after the game two weeks for Lattin. What's correct?

Well Lon said during his post game interview that he could have come back in and played if they needed him

Probably 2 weeks. That's too bad because they can have extended practices with no school, and he's likely going to miss it until after Christmas. The next 2-3 weeks are an opportunity for the team to get a lot better.

I am really impressed with his progress. He is going to be a really good player in the next couple of years.

OU dodges a bullet. I think having Lattin playing the way he is can be a difference for OU this year. He gives us depth we need and quality depth at that. :woot

Why are you guys saying he will be out two weeks when Kruger said he could have played in the second half. It seems to me he won't miss any time.

I read what he said to RJ Young on SoonerScoop. Kruger told RJ it was sprained but wasn't as bad as it looked, but he could miss a couple of weeks.

This is what the Tulsa World said:
“They’re checking his knee out a little bit further now,” coach Lon Kruger said after the game, “but the trainer, Alex Brown, said he could’ve gone back out there in the second half if we got to that position. So that was encouraging news. Beyond that, I don’t know anything more.”

I think we will know more early this week.

I am going to go with the Tulsa World and a direct quote saying he could have played in that game over an internet reporter that is afraid to even let people see his material.
