Every year, there are one or two players who regularly come in for criticism on this board, and Lattin's definitely been that guy this year. He only played 11 minutes against WVU, but he came in for more criticism than anyone afterward.

Tonight, in 28 minutes, he scored 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe, with eight rebounds, seven blocks and one steal.

For my money, that deserves praise. If we're going to trash the guy for several days after a game like Saturday's loss at WVU, we should give it up to him after a terrific game like tonight's.

When Lattin stays in the game with no foul trouble he is a main staple of the team. Defense, blocks points in the paint and rebounds. When he is stable in the middle OU is more dangerous.

Lattin and McNease seem to alternate on good games and bad games.

Not a coincidence we had by far our best defensive effort of the year and Lattin was huge protecting the rim. Need him to be consistent in his play for a chance for this team to take that step.

So true. I've made the same observation and it almost never fails that just one of them has a good game on a given night.

Amazing performance by Big Daddy Jr!

Agreed entirely. Lattin is the #1 most criticized player on this board and it's not close. Sometimes it's warranted but, IMO, it's often overblown. He was fantastic, especially in the 2nd half last night, and deserves credit.
