OU plays Baylor

Texas A&M plays Texas

Texas wins that game which could happen because Texas is playing amazing ball right now.

We beat Baylor and we could be tied for 3rd in the standings. We beat Baylor and we still are tied for 4th at worst if A&M pulls the upset.

To address those guys that crapped on my thread a couple of days ago about being in 6th/7th place and saying is mediocrity, what I will say is that when you are picked 11th and you see the team that you love up in the 4th-8th range it is a nice surprise and some credit has to be given to either the players or the coach.

I'm with you Nick. I dont care if we dont finish 3rd this year (because we wont) but it still would be fun to see us at 3rd come Wednesday!!

The cool thing is that beating teams like CU, ISU and Tech gives us tie-breakers that could help us to get a decent seed in the Big 12 tourney. If there's a log jam at 6-10 between teams like OSU, OU, Tech, CU, ISU, Neb and KSU we could end up in the 7th spot with a scenario like this....

1. Texas (14 - 2) Defeated Kansas based on head-to-head record.
2. Kansas (14 - 2) Lost to Texas based on head-to-head record.
3. Texas A&M (10 - 6) Defeated Missouri based on head-to-head record.
4. Missouri (10 - 6) Lost to Texas A&M based on head-to-head record.
5. Baylor (9 - 7)
6. Colorado (7 - 9)
7. Oklahoma (6 - 10) Defeated Nebraska based on head-to-head record.
8. Nebraska (6 - 10) Defeated Kansas State based on North Division record. Lost to Oklahoma based on head-to-head record.
9. Kansas State (6 - 10) Lost to Nebraska based on North Division record.
10. Oklahoma State (5 - 11) Defeated Texas Tech based on South Division record.
11. Texas Tech (5 - 11) Lost to Oklahoma State based on South Division record.
12. Iowa State (4 - 12)

6-10 would only require us to go 3-7 from this point, which is very possible

I don't know about winning in Stillwater. They'll probably be in a must win situation now. So this is probably going to be our chance to peak this year. The rest of our schedule after the OSU game is rough. Texas, @ Mizzou, @ KSU, @ Texas A&M, then Kansas. Nebraska's in there somewhere. But it'll be tough to win any of those other games. So we won't finish 3rd. Hell we'll be lucky to win 2 more games after this week. But this is basically our best chance at any type of post season run be it NIT or CBI if it's still around. Win these 2 games. Win Nebraska then win the 2 at the end of the year. Maybe one game in the Tourney would give us the NIT.
