2016 Norman north SG Just offered.

Anyone seen him play Or know anything about him?

He stood out more than Young the 3 or 4 times I saw NN play. More complete player in those games.

I don't know anything more about him than what I've read in this thread, but you surely could have come up with a more appropriate way to describe someone who's, what, a 16- or 17-year-old kid?

Show a little respect. We're not talking about an NBA millionaire here; he's a junior in high school.

It's like this guy was in a cave and just came out. He has a lot of offers from high majors very recently.. I saw one highlight tape that showed him handling and draining tons of threes, I think when he was younger. No dunking or athleticism. Then, his verbal commits video for the first minute all he's doing is throwing it and ooping.. He must have really physically matured of late. He's apparently 6-6. He has size, can jump, can shoot. From what I can tell my only question would be does he have quickness.. I don't know that he doesn't, just hard to tell on those videos.. Can't believe this is the first we've heard of him being '16, and right there in Norman.. Wonder how he'll end up being rated?

I mentioned him in one thread I bumped. Lot of talent in Oklahoma

I can easily see why he got an offer, plus he's an Oklahoma kid, bonus points.

Do you like our chances?

I'm not real sure. I think this could be contingent offer if McGusty turns us down.
Or drags it out too long, LK staff don't like being strung along.

He's taken off lately. When ou and osu both offer in state kid.. You'd think the one he grew up watching most would win. I have no idea if either was his favorite.

I still think young is a long shot.

Lot of good schools have offered. Including Ivy League. Some kids want that more than anything.

Waters is name, not Walters FYI

It's a highlight tape but at least it shows every aspect... defense, rebounding, ball handling, scoring from inside & outside.. Impressed!

Wow! He's impressive. If you stay in youtube after watching the video you posted, they have another video of him that follows. In that one he isn't dunking but is draining a bunch of 3's. Maybe it's the video Stikboy refers to. You can tell he's young but I was impressed with his ball handling ….. could go to his right or left hand to the hoop with good body control. With another year of HS to go, he could easily gain another 15-20 pounds of muscle and be a really good wing for some school.

I can see why Kruger offered him because he will get a lot of offers. I bet he blows up on the AAU circuit this summer. For the older Sooner posters, he kind of reminds me of Damon Patterson.

Patterson is a good comparison now that you mention it.

Here's a unique article on Waters' Indian heritage from a couple of years ago. I guess he goes by Tre ….. Lindy Waters III. His father works for OU. From the OU directory:
Lindy B. Waters, Jr.
Associate Director, Student Life Director, Student Affairs TRiO Programs

Looks like a poor man's Klay Thompson to me.
