I feel like Lon is getting after the guys more this year than in years past. Now, granted, Lon’s getting after is still very mild. I like to think it’s because he sees the potential.

Think these guys are less defensively inclined than any group he's ever coached here, which I would guess prompts the frequent reminders.

There is the potential of a very special year. Lon needs to get several guys to play like upperclassmen.

It appears most are playing like upperclassmen.

Being led by 2 true freshmen

He is getting into the refs much more frequently and I love it. Tired of seeing opposing coaches bully the refs against us.

I couldn’t agree more. I don’t know why it took him so long to show the fire we saw as a player, but I like the new “Coach Lon” we’re seeing on the sideline this year. I think the players like it too.

Maybe it's because he kn ows that he will have Trey for only one year and he wants to get the most out of that one year he can and is pushing the team harder.

The fast tempo we are playing at on offense gives the opponent a lot more possessions. If we played slow and scored 55-60 points a game our defense would look a lot better with few defensive possessions but then again everyone would complain about our offense. People will always find something to complain about. Just enjoy this special season while we can.

I think they try and play defense but some players get lost at times. But it seems to me to many times the other team comes up with the loose ball on the floor. But letting the dude from TCU drive the ball in the last six seconds for a layup to tie the game was not good defense at all

Of course the last play wasn’t great defense. To me it looked like a busted play. Jamuni was suppose to switch I bet, he didn’t and got there late for the block.

Switching everything late was the call I bet.

And don't foul, under any circumstances.

To me, that win over Tech last week produced some of the best defense I've seen from our Sooners in several years.

I'm really pleased with how our defense has been progressing. My concern has been with our rebounding, finishing at the rim, and the FT shooting.

I want the guys to finish so Trae leads the country in points and assists. Lots of assists have been left on the floor the last few games.
