Looks like a mega talent mismatch... is that a knee-jerk reaction?

OU's guard dont look like they belong on the same floor as English, Denmon, Dixon, and Pressey. They are quick, strong, athletic, and can shoot. Athletically speaking, OU just looks inferior.

I hope that this isnt the wake-up call for this group.. If OU loses here (which is almost a given, being down 20 on the road at half), that means OU has played 3 good teams this year and lost all 3, two of them in blowouts if things hold true in Columbia tonight.

Oh, and Kruger needs to go sign a shot-blocker, ASAP. Its layup city out there when they arent hitting wide open 3's. Shot blocker should be recruiting priority #1 for next year.

How shocking that bigabd is back on the board as soon as we are getting blown out

They have the better guards, no doubt. I don't think the difference is night and day, but yeah, they are more talented. And deeper. Their guards are what I hope/think guys like Woodard/Hornbeak/Hield/Parker can be.

Missouri looks like a veteran team with all-conference caliber guards...it is a mismatch at this point...OU isn't able to take advantage of Missouri's depth problem...but should OU get Mizzou in foul trouble perhaps they could make a run at them, but I think this game is early out of hand already...Missouri has a very good top 7...

Exactly

i'm sure he's scouring the waiver wire as we speak.:vitale

I don't think the refs even brought their whistles tonight.

Yeah, he's been pretty quiet lately, until starting multiple threads tonight.

Well, OU beating some BS team is not post-worthy. OU losing by 40 is. I didnt say a word after the Cincy loss, because losing to Cincy by 2 isnt that big a deal. I don't get on here and sing their praises for beating the Alcorn States of the world.

This was a conference game, and they lost by 40. That is post-worthy.

At least he finally admits it. Gotta give it up to you for that at least, abd.

I disagree. Quitting and just getting destroyed is unacceptable at any level of sports. Compete, work hard and take the loss but don't quit and embarass yourself.

I didn't see any "quit" last night.

I am not saying they quit. I am not really sure I saw that either but I think there is a big difference between a 15 loss and a 50 point loss. Probably a bad choice of words.

don't know if I would say quit either but you could tell they were discouraged and not playing with fire. can't blame them when they were getting their butts kicked

Can someone please explain to me why over the past few years we haven't been able to drive to the bucket conistently? I sit and watch game after game where the opposing team drives the lane and gets easy buckets. OU gets them but they are few and far between. Is it our playing style, personnel, or combination of the two? I personally feel that we have some players that can do that (i.e. Pledger, Clark, and grooms). In addition, I bet we only average one slam per game. That is ridiculous. We are playing an undersized mizzou team. Why can't we feed the ball to Osby down low and let him use his body to get close to the rim? Is he not able to do that?

Please don't take this the wrong way. Overall, I am highly impressed with this team and with Kruger. I just wish I had the answers to the above questions.

Nope. He has been here the whole time.

I don't know about a "mega" talent mismatch, but there is no doubt that OU is not on the same level as a quicker, more athletic Mizzou team. That's what happens when you fail to sign enough difference makers for two straight seasons, or you lose those you did sign.

People are overreacting. Missouri is a top 5-10 team and played great. We are a NIT team and played bad. No big deal.

Saturday against KU is going to be a big game for the psyche of this team. Hope we are competitive, if we get blown out again I'm worried how the season may play out.
