Thats the rumors going around message boards, this is not a good development for OU in the Cezar race in my opinion.

I think their just trying to sign him to keep him from signing with another Big 12 team.

kansas has only one player signed right now, and he also plays the point.

There are only two guys showing a kansas offer at rivals. DeAndre Daniels is one, and he's gone from a lock to enroll for this spring to waiting to weigh his options (obviously he's not sold on kansas). The other is Ben McLemore, who recently got kicked off the Oak Hill team and is now a virtual lock to not qualify.

Guererro doesn't really fill a huge need for them, but they're at risk of getting shut out otherwise.

They're going to need a huge 2012.

i think it still hasn't been reported whether he was kicked off the team but will remain in school, or if he was kicked out of school. if he's still in school, then this shouldn't impact his ability to qualify that greatly.

on the other hand, i've thought all along that ku fans (and mu fans) were ignoring his poor grades and taking his ability to qualify for granted. even if he remains at oak hill, i don't think he is a sure thing to qualify.

getting back to ku... they'll probably just pick up arkansas' entire class when pelphrey is fired. self does better at spring recruiting than anyone.

I hope Capel can match Self's relocation plan for Cezars' family. Probably a pipe dream though.

KC Ross-Miller here we come!!!

Oak Hill's head coach was quoted in a Tucson paper saying that Sidiki Johnson and another player (presumably McLemore) were dismissed from the team due to a violation of team rules. Word has also come out that McLemore has been back home in St. Louis for the past week and may be going to school somewhere in Texas to finish the semester.

He was definitely still an academic risk, but I think most MU fans assumed that Oak Hill would give him a better chance than just about anywhere else.

Interesting thought on Arkansas. I wouldn't mind Mizzou stealing a recruit or two if Pelphrey is let go. They're likely to finish 18-12, 7-9 in SEC play. That'd put him at 69-59 (25-39 SEC) in four years. Don't know if that's enough for them to give him one more year or not. It'll be their third straight losing conference season, but an overall improvement from the past two years.

They just need to stay away from Mike Anderson (ultimately I think the way things ended down there for Richardson make an Anderson return impossible... but I know their fans would love to bring him back).

They are offering b/c they have struck out on everyone and they have several scholarships available.

I am personally glad that KU is offering him b/c that means that this kid is solid. But KU has Taylor, Selby, Johnson, Releford, Woolridge, and Tharpe as guards for next year. Playing time as a freshman would be limited to just a few. Plus they are recruiting several PGs in the 2012 class. I just can't see this kid taking a scholarship from a team that just wants to fill their scholarships than actually needing a PG.

good info. thanks.

ofk about Guerrer besides i like him. OU Needs a true pg. There may not be one there.

If the kid wants to play he will come to OU, if he wants to sit for at least 2 yrs then he goes to KU. I think a lot of kids go where the PT is at, some dont though. Has CG mentioned what is most important to him?

Exactly. Let's hope CG has playing time as his number one.

Rom,

I want no part of Nino Jackson. Look at how Capel handled the last gangbanger that we had on campus. He will fit right in at KU.

On a related note, one of Guerrero's AAU teammates is highly coveted prospect DeAndre Daniels. Daniels is the recruit whose friend and high school teammate passed up offers from some good schools to walk-on at Kansas.

I am sure Cezar is getting a house on the hill or something like that
