Bangers down low ....

Just curious. In the Big-12 this past season, who were the top "bangers down low" in the conference?

Kansas will have more size than just about anyone in the country next season. So will Texas. We'll be going against next year's conference next year, not last year's. So what was there last year does not matter.

People underestimate just how valuable Spangler was. He made playing post at his size look easy -- it isn't.

I would be floored if Freeman were close to ready to play a lot of important minutes next season. I'd say maybe 10, and that's only if he's as good of a shooter as he's rumored to be.

I think Doolitte could be more ready physically, but he's a tweener in the mold of Buford.

We basically have two 'can be counted on' post players and that isn't enough. We need a third to emerge to really be a threat for the NCAA Tournament.

No doubt that Spangler will be greatly missed. So far, Texas' size for next season is not overwhelming, but they are expected to also sign 6-9 five star big man Jarrett Allen.
