Is he going to have to sit out this season?
You guys crack me up. Had Lon recruited this kid out of high school, based on his rivals profile, some of you would have lit the world on fire about how terrible of a recruiter lon is. Now all of a sudden after he had a couple solid seasons at Georgetown he is this can’t miss recruit that lon is terrible for not being able to reel into Oklahoma.
Some guys posting that he would probably end up at Duke or North Carolina or KU or any other blue blood. He ends up at Texas Tech and some of you are losing your minds because he’s so talented.
Look at his rivals profile and the schools that are listed that he was being recruited by at the time he was in high school and tell me how many of you would’ve been thrilled that he signed with Oklahoma? Yes I know he has had two good years at Georgetown and no I don’t get hung up on the recruiting stars like a lot of people do, but the majority of this board that complain about lon and his recruiting do get hung up on the stars that a lot of these guys have.
A ton of guys are complaining about Cortes and yet his profile looks better than McClung‘s at this point in their career. We don’t know if he will pan out but I think it’s funny that Cortes is not getting some of the pub that some of you guys are now giving mcClung and acting like beard just signed a five-star recruit.

Losing Doo and Bienemy and adding Phipps?.

Now all of a sudden Bienemy is a big loss?!? MANY of the posters on this board possibly yourself included, did nothing but BLAST bienemy last season and now that he’s gone he’s now irreplaceable? Give me a break. Also, a lot of the guys on the ‘meh’ current roster you speak of were higher rated guys than mcclung. The kid had good stats on an avg GTown team so now he’s a cant miss prospect?
Why dont you let phipps play a game first as he too has about the same profile as mcclung did coming out of high school before you deem him a disappointment. Of the two transfers, its well known that the staff is only counting on one of them this year anyway.
We all get that you think Lon is too old and cant Recruit and should retire, but this act gets old that every guy on his roster sucks and that every other team gets the best guys possible and their coaches are applauded for their efforts while OU sits on the side and watches.
Hes a troll. But to be fair, he didnt say that JB was a big loss. You're making that up to fit your point... he is a loss in the sense that he was another possible player, with a lot of experience, that isnt a worthless juco sitting on the bench..
JB will not be a loss, at all, unless he learns how to shoot this summer at utep
on what grounds is he getting a waiver?
It’s believed the NCAA is going to be really lenient on granting transfers this year. Next year the 1 time transfer rule will be in play so they won’t care as much this year.
This ESPN article answers a lot of our questions about what the NCAA might do in denying or granting transfer waivers for the 2020-2021 season.
Additionally, the article says the one time transfer proposal appears to be all but a certainty for the 2021-22 season, but not next season.
