Main Questions OU - BU

Will Ana ever touch the ball tonight?

Why is Vivi EVER allowed to play more than 6 feet from the basket?

Has Vivi ever dribbled the ball without a turnover?

Will Pellington develop the skill over the summer so she can take advantage of opponents closing on her when she drives?

Will we ever cover open shooters in the corners?

We are keeping it fairly close, but just a few things will help us.

But finally, will the Big-12 ever decide that if you throw an elbow and knock the soup out of an opponent (sometimes even ending with a concussion) that a foul should be called?

Re bold: Yes, she has and she has also scored. Not commenting regarding her dribbling other than to answer your question.

Actually ViVi is one of the few Sooners who has improved her game and it is that she has used footwork and a quick dribble to get around the taller opponents rather than attempting to shoot over her. A lot of her dribble turnovers are when she is far enough from the hoop to have to make more than one dribble. That is not counting the reverse dribble from in close.

Maybe you only remember the times she loses the ball.

Ana is one of the best on the team to find open shots. That Baylor shut her down is a credit to a good game plan and an exceptional job by the Bear that was covering her. However the extra attention directed to the reining National Freshman of the week may have contributed to how close the Sooners were throughout the game. Maybe not so good a game plan.

I definitely agree with you about how effective she is when fairly close to the basket. She has worked hard and significantly improved that part of her game.

I was referring to those times when she gets too far out and then tries to dribble. Sorry that was not clear.

I would go even further and say she is the best on the team about finding open space. And she did quite a number of times against BU. My point was that it is fairly common for her to get open and then have the point guard try a risky pass - or dribble into a stacked middle for a turnover - instead of passing to Ana.

NC, I wish you were close enough to attend several games. What is described above is very obvious when you can see the entire floor. It is not quite as clear with the limited view TV provides.

You were pretty accurate with your description of the BU defensive plan.

Actually believe she has scored in that way.
Certainly in at least one of the last two games. Again, not commenting further because have no clue

Actually believe she has scored in one of the last two games by dribbling in to the basket, not just around the basket. Though she she puts the ball on the floor in traffic under the basket, also, she still is often effective. Again, only responding to your comment based on what I see.

So what is your point sweetest? Is it you don’t feel the ball is distributed to wings?
