After this season, it will have been 20 years since either of those things happened.
On a positive spin, since he's a "legendary" coach according to this board, he's probably due.
The point is he has accomplished a lot more than Ford. He knows how to rebuild and run programs the right way and has been extremely successful at each stop. Ford has done nothing at OState, except have a worse record than the season before. They look much better so far but I attribute that to Smart more than Ford. Helluva player.
Kruger's career prior to coming to OU is actually very similar to Eddie Sutton's prior to going back to Stillwater, minus the alcoholism and NCAA issues of course.
