He should have let it slide. But the fan can't act like he can do whatever he wants.

I am by no means a Smart fan, nor am I condoning what he did; but I wonder what that fan said to him while he was still on the ground. I mean, he was doing fine on the ground being helped up by a fan, and then pops up and gets in that dude's face. Crazy! It will be interesting to hear what actually happened from Smart's perspective. Also, I wonder if he is suspended by the league for at least one game. But I believe the phrase "meltdown" is apropos for what is going on in Stillwater.
Go Sooners!
You don't think OU fans would all be yelling smack at Smart if he fell into a group of them?
You don't think that happens in every opposing college and NBA arena in every basketball game every night?
Are some of you people kidding me blaming the Tech fan for this?
Forte feel into our student section and our students picked him up and sent him back.
Not blaming him, but the fan wasn't acting very classy. Forte feel into our student section and our students picked him up and sent him back. Very few words. If you watched our game against them, Ford went running down there and started to laugh when nothing happened. So no, I don't think our fans would be that classless.
By the way, Orangepower.com must have imploded, can't get on it.
Tech fans helped Smart up, too.
Yes, they did. The man he attacked was smiling the entire time. I have no idea what he said, but when a guy has a smile on his face, I find it hard to believe it was more than the usual razzing players should expect at every conference road game. Smart was just ready to explode, and he picked the man in the stands to do it on.
