Marcus smart just hit a fan!

Next week on Sportscenter: "I'm not the only one who shoves fans."
 
I don't care what the fan said. Unless the fan physically accosted him there is no excuse for what happened. Smart should be gone for the rest of the season. Ford should be gone after the season for not dealing with his antics earlier not to mention he is a poor coach.

Agreed it is uncalled for and no matter what was said, you cannot attack a fan. I am just wondering what was said because, although I think Smart has been out of control a lot lately... I just could not imagine him doing this for absolutely nothing. However, whatever was said does not condone him attacking; you just have to walk away. Watching the highlights on ESPNU it looked like Marcus mouthed to the official: "He called me an N"... Not sure about that, but it sure looked like it...
 
ESPN is covering this relentlessly. They're showing the footage of Smart losing it over and over and over. That's gotta be painful for the aggies.

Who cares what MarCus says?????. He flops without being TOUCHED! Why do you think that anything he says has any validity?
 
Ford pleaded ignorance throughout the postgame press conference, claiming to have no idea what happened and saying he would have to get more info.

Surely he had time to a) speak to Smart and b) see video of the incident before stepping out to answer reporters' questions.

Somebody needs to get that Tech fan and the tripping OSU cheerleader in a winner take all death match.
 
I'll take the minority approach and say this is just sad for college basketball.

Yes. I completely agree and as I said in my post, I am not condoning what he did... He needs to be suspended for at least 1 to 2 games. But I am just curious what happened to make him react like that... And as someone pointed out, this is all over ESPN. Bad press for OSU and I can't say I am not enjoying this meltdown!
