Marques Bolden Update

Damn this is making it harder to ignore his recruitment for me. So far I have refused to get my hopes up, and things seem to be working for the good guys. Still, I will believe it when he signs his LOI and not before.

They made those picks today (3/07). Hmmmm.

That makes it even more interesting!

Desoto hoops said sometime ago OU had a legitimate chance of signing Bolden. I'm beginning to think she may be right. Is that wishful thinking on my part or a genuine gut feeling because I want it to happen so much? Sure wish I knew.

cgates has watched several of Bolden's games recently and gotten to know MB's personal trainer and some family members. He thinks Duke is the leader, but OU has a chance. Contrary to what some believe, he says Jeff Webster is nudging Marques to consider the Sooners.

I refuse to let myself get too caught up in the rumors because I don't want to set myself up for a letdown. But I can't help it....... Those Duke guys must have some tidbit to make them predict for OU.

Oh man that would be so great. He and Lattin would be a quite the 1-2 punch down low next year.

Amile Jefferson (most likely) returning to Duke probably rules them out IMO.

Labisiere can return to Kentucky, but they already have 3 PFs signed that are all ranked above Bolden, soooo why would he want to go there? Add that in with Labisiere and maybe Marcus Lee returning, that's a VERY crowded front court.

Things look good for us IMO

Omg... Bolden, then young, then porter.. and we take over

If Kentucky is still in the mix, I wouldn't think that would rule them out. Kentucky still had more post players

Just a quirky thought: if we pick up Bolden, we have FOUR centers on scholarship who can play game minutes. When was the last time that happened? Have we ever?

Only 3 natural 5's bc Lattin would move to the 4, which, for his body type and where his game is headed, is a more natural fit.

One thing I noticed, if labissierre doesn't go to the nba, Kentucky doesn't have a scholarship available for him.

Interesting!

That dude is a second rounder, at best.

Labissiere is gone, and will be a 1st rounder. He had a game of 18 points 9 rebounds and 6 blocks against Ben Simmons the other day. He's a mid first rounder, and if he comes back he risks having a bad season and falling out of the first round, like has happened with Marcus Lee and Alex Poythress.

Bolden's Desoto just upset Humble Atascosita by 19 points for the 6A crown

lol, dude won't fall below 15ish in the 1st round. NBA loves his potential.

Yeah, he's money with that little 15 ft jumper. Develop the rest of his game and he's a potential star.

He played 2 minutes in the championship game. And you're telling me he's a top 15 pick?

Are you not paying attention? WT and I are referring to the NBA's continued and consistent history of drafting on potential more than productivity. And where did I specifically say he's going to be a Top 15 pick?
