MBB Transfer Portal Thread: Moser Year 4

Agreed. By a significant margin. The only thing I don't like about him is that he'll be another 1 year guy. So we'll be looking to replace both Pedulla and Miguel after next season.
A good steak doesn't need all of that crap on it.
This is why we don't trust your eye test...

Lamp Chop.

Until things change that's just what basketball is gonna be now.
Not every school is having the level of turnover that we are. That's been shown. OU/Moser have to find a way to cut it down. ZERO way to develop chemistry and culture when you turn over as much of the roster as we have been.

Are you sure? Many, many teams are having the turnover we are, some are much worse. I have news for you, unless something changes, the turnover will accelerate every year, especially for teams with smaller NIL deals.

HS player is overlooked and signs with small school. He has a great freshman season, into the portal and moves up to P5. Another good season, into the portal for more money and trying to move up to blue blood or better school and more money.

Under this new system, why wouldn’t a great player use the portal as leverage for a better deal every year? If something doesn’t change, this is the new normal. OU isn’t immune and we are experiencing average turnover compared to all of CBB.

Darn.

G Selton Miguel, USF

INTEL: Selton Miguel earned American Athletic Conference Sixth Man of the Year honors this season. The 6-foot-4 wing averaged 14.7 points, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals while shooting 39.0 percent from three. Miguel is set to take his first visit on Sunday as he travels to Maryland. Miguel does not have other visits set yet, so the trip to College Park, Maryland is worth paying attention to. Continue to pay attention to see if he sets anything further.

Alabama just made a final 4 replacing 9 players and all of their assistant coaches as well.

NC State basically had an entire roster of new transfers.

More schools than not are having this level of turnover now.

Texas the last few years has been transfer U.

Pretty darn sure given the data that was posted last week and the discussion. There are some that are worse, but there are a lot of our peers that are better.

And we're not losing kids to the Portal over NIL. We're losing them to the Portal because of the status of our program (ie, not winning), because they aren't being properly developed (my opinion), and because Moser isn't recruiting a team, but instead a roster of individuals. Part of Uzan's regression is because Moser brought in JM to play PG. Why would Uzan come back if Moser was going to do the same this year? Who is transferring out of OU this year chasing a bigger bag? Not one player that we've heard about.
