MBB Transfer Portal Thread: Moser Year 4

OU should have 10+ visitors on the campus this week. Identify targets, invite them to campus, see who bites, and go from there.

"Yo, Blake Griffin, how's it going? Heard you just retired. How would you like to come to Norman to "host" some recruits, etc?"
Be nice. I'm sure they are hard at work coming up with a new slogan to replace DCO. Priorities!!

We are seeing firsthand why Moser coached at UALR, Illinois State and Loyola before OU.

He was a 'good' hire at the time, but what a spectacular failure it has been. John Blake-level bad, all things considered.
Tell me you’re too young to really remember how bad the Blake years were without telling me…

Transfer players are saying out loud what many have been harping on, Moser is a dead man walking. I do not think $$ is the main issue right now regardless of what Bob P may have stated.
I don't buy this. Why would kids that know they can transfer every year care if Moser is only here 1 year?
It is about $ for 90% of kids

Can’t do that because admin and the AD would be concerned it might be a gray area that could arise into a potential inquiry from the NCAA.

In other words, take zero risk or try to do things differently because we’re afraid of the way the NCAA operated 20 years ago.

Zero proof from marketing to NIL our admin knows how to navigate college basketball in 2024.
MJ was positive at one point. It's so sad it's gotten to this.

Lon made the tourney (easily) and won two games, even after things started to slowly decline. It's a laughable thing to compare the two.

Moser had the chance to, at minimum, keep the status quo or improve it. Instead, he completely tanked the program.

The metrics do not agree with your opinion. Ou has been a bubble team 2 out of 3 of Moser’s years and that’s exactly what they were under Lon sans buddy. Hell they were the last team in the field with freaking Trae Young.

You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about. OU has as much money as any of those schools except aTm, Texas, and maybe Oregon & Ohio state but that’s debatable. The rest? OU can play even or better than the rest, including the SEC teams you listed.

OU football has the money and it’s being put to use. Our recruiting is getting better and the investment into the program is increasing.

I’ve also heard OU basketball has the NIL money this cycle and if we can’t land players, it’s not because of NIL. Take that however you want.

This is shaping up to be a dead season, a slow walk to firing moser and starting over.
You think we maybe have as much money as Oregon? So you've never heard of Phil Knight?

Good Lord. You are way off on this one.

I don't need metrics, I can look at a bracket.

Kruger and Co. had some semblance of a plan and executed it. What do you think Moser is doing right now? Probably just flailing around like an idiot like he does on the sidelines.

I've tried for three years to be positive, but it's over. This portal cycle has proven that.

You are the one stating your (false) opinion as fact.

You still have to sell winning and a system that can showcase players along with a competitive NIL offer. If you think there isn’t bad noise out there regarding Moser, his culture and system I don’t know what to say. I’m a supporter of Moser also but the reality of what’s going on speaks a helluva lot louder then what anybody is posting on a msg board.
