This kid followed every OU assistant this morning...

Played PG/SG at #123 San Diego.
Most minutes shares and was Top-25 in %Min played. (dude never left the court)
Top 75 in TORate (That is great news) and Top10 in fouls committed per40 (That is nuts)

This dude was a workhorse.

Perhaps compares lightly to Maks? But think this guy is much much better based on stats.

Adding to Bryce Pope:

Things that I liked seeing:
-Attacking the basket efficiently and with a purpose
-Drives and pump fakes (we never get defenders on their feet like that. I think Moore finally did 2 in the last game we played)
-Solid from Mid-range
-His vision in the lane is solid. Passing to the PnR guy, filling the space and dishing to a cutter.
-Has a more extended range than just the 3pt line
-1/3 points come off PnR as the ball handler

Things I didn't like seeing:
-Book-in hand pushes with his release hand. I HATE that, too many variables to alter your own shot.
-Defenses, are clearly not even close to Big12 defenses...uncertain how will he do against much better athletes
-Defensively, I didn't get to see much which worries me
-Very right hand dominant when laying it up, not as comfortable with his left
-A bit too floaty at times when attacking vs bigger defenders. (in the paint)

Sorry for spamming the board with Bryce Pope stuff ...

But, in the 4 games against Top-100 KenPom opponents Bryce Pope went for 15, 15, 8, and 32.

The kid gets buckets. (14) 20 point games and UC-San Diego was 129th in KenPom and 80th Offensively

He might be a fine replacement for Los.
Since no one brought it up:

Again, caveat being, Big West is a step down from the Big12

Edit: I messed up, but leaving this here anyway

He said Los not Javian?

Nickname: Boopie.

As you can see, productive...from Chicago.

OU liked him when he hit the portal last year (Central Michigan to Wake Forest). Probably wouldn't make sense this year with Javian.

Apparently the NIL bill to allow universities in Oklahoma to directly pay students (if/when it becomes OK by the NCAA) is on Stitts desk
Senate Bill 1786 and i looks like it has not quite made it out of the legislature

Why? Itd be just a standard breach of contract civil case with some added publicity. I do those everyday (minus the publicity)
The event would be the added publicity. The case itself would be routine. I think we're on the same page.

Just saw Bob P tweet that Moser is on the clock "and doing well so far" and had to chuckle. What does that even mean, unless/until we actually sign some of the guys we have contacted?

DePaul should be the first call. They need to bring Chicago kids home.

Ok, that's encouraging. And actual news. Let's hope it gets the job done, and if not, offer it to another quality target.

Garrison seems like the best player we could realistically land. Is there a comparable big out there in your eyes? I don't see anybody I could excitedly pivot to.

I really like Pedulla, but there will be always be 6'1 guards in the portal we can pick up.
