Media Day

Wasn't SC's National Championship runner-up team pretty small? Didn't they get that far by really good speed and passing? from what I can remember the tallest player on the team was six foot two, correct me if I'm wrong.

Who was the 6-3 player?? I thought Caton Hill was the only real big on that team.
Swim Cash dominated OU that day.
We need to have one athletic Big defender rebounder.

Cunningham was 6-3. Caton, 6-1. Stacey 6-0. Ross and Caulfield were 5-9.

Edit: Talbot was 6-3. Cunningham didn't play in 2002. Talbot was about 7 points and five boards.

I think I remember Talbot, she was kind of like a Joanna McFarland type of player, minus the outside shooting. I dont think you have to be tall to be a great team, UCONN has proven that before, but you have to overcompensate for it in other areas like speed, passing, perimeter shooting etc, can we do that?

Caulfield was the leading scorer in 2002.

Caulfield 626
Dales 611
Hill 455
Ross 416
Talbot 279
Jackson 261

Jackson was a 5-9 freshman who got a lot of playing time. It was a pretty good three-point shooting team.

39.82% Hill 45-113
38.68% Dales 41-106
37.18% Caulfield 29-78
36.24% Ross 79-218
46.15% Jackson 6-13

That was good for the time. Even the 6-3, 6-1, 6-0 was pretty good for the time. Tall guard at 6-0.

I actually knew Caton Hill, such a cool girl and a lot of fun to hang around with. I think that not only does this incoming freshman Gabby Gregory resemble her physically, but they seem to have similar games. I think next year we will be very dangerous with the three that we have coming in so far. Wouldn't be surprised if a last-minute recruit jumped on board down the line!
