Did you notice the difference in fan support this weekend in Norman? OU men's game against number 2 KU empty seats everywhere, KU had 25% of the fans. OU women's game looked sold out for number 3 Baylor.

Very sad

Part of the reason is $$$$$. A family of 4 can go to a women's game for $32.00 + whatever they chose to spend on snacks. Are the minimum priced tickets $15 or $20 for the men's games? (Except for the specials they run over the holidays.) That's why you see lots of families w/ small kids at the women's games.

I was at both games this weekend, and I have been to almost all of the MBB and WBB games.

Here is another reason: The WBB games are often fun and exciting. The MBB games have become dull and boring.

Sorry, but that is how it feels at the games.

That certainly plays a big part for some people. But there are some people who couldn't afford to bring the entire family to a men's game no matter how exciting it was.

True. But the odds are not good that Joe will significantly reduce MBB ticket prices.

They can't afford to one Jeff Capel home game but 85,000 pack the house to see the Bob Stoops show at a much higher price. I said a few games not the entire season. This was Jeff's super bowl game and very few showed.

Seems some don't pay attention when there is already a thread about the same subject.

This reason ALONE is about to run me from this board. I know many don't care where I go. In fact, many of you would probably tell me where to go if given the chance.

Of all the posts each week, most of them end up in the EXACT same fashion. Joe C/Capel/program/team bashing or name calling (pumper, Cleti..) Most every poster on this board is singularly aligned with one side or the other and can NEVER concede when someone actually makes a lucid point.

The same post is posted every day or so about the exact same topic (in a round-about way).

Many "OU fans" have resorted to actually supporting all things not OU basketball in their arguments.

Look, I'm not asking for sunshine, but sheesh...you'd think we were on one of our rival's boards the way a bunch of posters bash OUR OWN PROGRAM.

You got all that from my previous post? you seem to be looking for something then.
Hate to see you go but oh well.

Do you think Capel should get fired?

Just the repetitive posts saying the same think...which is what YOU were pointing out...not sure what I'd be looking for...

I totally understood your point, and you were 100% right Klegg.

You both are right. I talked to a few long time poster over the weekend, and they have stopped posting because of this. It is getting ridiculous

Thanks, Max. I know we don't agree on some of the topics, but I think we can agree it's got out of hand...I just hope we start winning soon so this will all end...

thats all most of us want. We all just disagree on the best way to get back to a top 2-3 program in the big 12/10 year in and year out again

Right on. I never said I completely disagreed with anyone asking for a change, I usually just disputed SOME of the skewed facts some of them used to attempt to justify it and I really don't care for "fans" bashing players (starters or not)...

I don't see any people starting threads about X's and O's or other stories in college basketball...take the initiative.
