For some reason I thought we were the first game of the day.

Oregon's STARTERS just put up 56 points in the first half against Iowa.

That is insane.

The Big 12 is 1-3 so far in the second round, with what looks like a sure loss (OU) and a toss-up game (KU-USC) remaining. If USC is as good as the other Pac 12 teams have been, then it will be up to Baylor to carry the conference's flag.

Oregon is like they have been in the past; very athletic with shooters. Bad news for them is that Dana Altman is still their coach so when they go cold they lose.

How in the hell did Texas lose to Abilene Christian?

Obligatory answer: Shaka

It just goes to show how much luck as well as your draw go into this March Madness thing.

Altman is a great coach. I would love to have him take over after Lon leaves obviously it won’t happen.

Hope that never happens and there is little chance of it anyway. He will be able to recruit better at Oregon. OU does need better recruiting but we also need a coach that doesn’t just rely on it.

Michigan is having trouble with LSU. If they lose then the only Big 10 team left is 10 seed Maryland

Outside of this game really all the games today have been pretty bad. OU/Zaga was the 2nd best game of the day so far.

So the PAC seems to be having a great tournament. Colorado is trailing FSU, so that could be their first loss. However, take a closer look at who the teams are that the PAC teams have beaten:
  1. Big 10 11 seed
  2. Sec 5 seed
  3. Big East 12 seed
  4. Drake 11 seed(Mo Valley?)
  5. WCC 6 seed
  6. an uncontested 10 seed (Oregon/VCU)
  7. Big 12 4 seed
  8. Big 10 2 seed
  9. ACU 14 seed (I don't care what conference)

Some decent wins, but not exactly murderer's row. It just goes to show how much the "draw" comes into play.

Kansas is getting destroyed by USC. Only one Big 12 team goes to the Sweet 16. Tech probably gets in if they called that foul in the Arkansas game to be fair and WVU came back against Cuse but the rest weren't really even close to get another win.

We can always adopt ORU.

i think i would be ok if kansas lost to a team who hired the father of the nation's possible best recruit to be an assistant coach.

Really hate to see it.

The meltdown on Phog right now rivals what you would see on Surly. Sometimes, our posters can be hyper-critical of our players (me included), but if you are into blood and guts, take a gander over on that board about what they have to say about their players.....it ain't pretty.

USC is playing lights out. I didn’t know they were this good. Watching ku get destroyed does warm my heart.

Big12 failing in the tourney is an annual event.

Of the PAC teams pretty impressed w/ USC and Oregon...UCLA is going to play hard w/ Cronin as the coach. Not sold on Oregon State at all

Also Boyle is a really good coach at Colorado
