Kentucky transfer is rumored to be visiting OU this weekend.

Maybe we have already missed out on one of our 2017 point guard targets

She sounds like a great kid, I'm sure she would fit in well with the team

I think it is too early to make any assumptions. Rich is a combo guard. We lose Peyton, maybe Gioya, Shaya, T'Ona, and Derica after next year. We have some slots open for someone who can shoot.

She also looks pretty tall, Sherri might use her inside some...

Coale announced her signing today. She will sit out next semester and first semester next year. Looking forward to watching her play.

This is another girl whom might be pretty good. We will have to wait to see her on court. But, I do love her hands.

I'm excited for Rich to join the team... Our last transfer seems to be doing pretty well...

I was wondering what number she would be picking since #11 was taken... #1 seems like a good choice.

One typo from the article Rich wasn't ranked NO.30 in the class she was ranked as the #93 out of 100, and NO.31 at her positions...

I wonder why she has to sit at the start of next year since she never played a game while she was at UK, maybe she wanted to finish out the semester at Kentucky...

I believe the transfer rule states you have to sit a full year unless you get a waiver.

Once you enroll and go to a class at a school you are subject to the NCAA transfer rules even if you never play or practice. It would take a special NCAA waiver for you to be eligible immediately...that kind of waiver would only be granted for special circumstances (serious family illness type of situation, etc.).

I'm pretty surprised about this transfer. Does anyone have any better insight into what the reasons could have been?

I expect she will help us over the next few years.

I think Ky had 3 players to transfer in the last few months. That indicates a potential problem with team chemistry or possible coaching issues. My guess is, she will be very happy at OU.

How much contact can there be when a player is considering a transfer? Would she be able to know a scholarship will be made available - or does she just have to look at the numbers and hope?

After she has received a release, I think she can be contacted as any other recruit. In this case, she probably put the transfer into motion before contacting anyone, knowing that there would be interest.

One of the advantages of having a roster of 13-14 is, there is room for a transfer or two, which is a common occurrence.
