ESPN+ story saying PM is "primed to return to OU" after the MSU win
Based on? If he doesn’t make the tournament he’s toast.ESPN+ story saying PM is "primed to return to OU" after the MSU win
Not even remotely close to accurate. He will likely be retained even if OU loses out.Based on? If he doesn’t make the tournament he’s toast.

They don’t have to pay the buyout in a lump sum. It will be paid out over X amount of years and will be reduced by whatever salary he makes if he gets another coaching job. Here is my thought....not arguing or debating. I doubt they are willing to pay an $8 million buyout. Does he deserve another year? Probably not...but OU dug that hole.
Opinion? Do you think they would be more likely to pony up $3 mil from donors for the roster improvements we need? Or $8 mil for a buyout? Chances are almost ZERO they would do both
Yep. And we already saw last year that even when he has a roster that should easily make the tournament, he can’t get them there. Regardless of what our NIL budget was last season, he had more than enough talent to win and showed he couldn’t get the job done. So why would anyone expect a different result in the future? They don’t have to pay the buyout in a lump sum. It’s obvious watching him coach a game that he doesn’t know what he’s doing. We almost gave away the Mississippi State game in the last 2 minutes because of his ineptitude.Yep. No matter what happens we need to fix the NIL issues.Oklahoma Sooners
Porter Moser appears primed to get another season in Norman, especially after the Sooners picked up a massive win against Mississippi State over the weekend to boost their NCAA tournament hopes. The Sooners started 13-0, though they struggled recently. Oklahoma has yet to make an NCAA tournament appearance under Moser, though it's also a program perceived to have one of the lowest NIL budgets in the SEC. Moser would reportedly be owed just shy of $8 million.

I said BEFORE last season that Uzan would play in the NBA. It’s now apparent that Oweh also has a real shot to make the NBA. Soares and Moore aren’t nba players but are/were very good college players. We had more high level athletes last season than in just about any year under Kelvin.A roster with no nba players on it (according to you)?
That’s not the choice we have to make. So what’s the point of this post?If given the choice of no Moser and no more NIL… or Moser and more NIL… I would go with more NIL.
Nope. He hasn’t beaten Texas yet since he’s been here.We could lose our next 5 games. I don’t think anyone will remember that we barely hung on to beat MSU if that happens. That includes any sports reporter and the OU AD. If they simply don’t want to buy him out they are going to have a difficult time pointing to an MSU win as a smokescreen if we don’t follow up with some more wins.
Anyone confident that we close out the regular season with a win @texas?
Based on the last 30 years of OU bball makes you think that:That’s not the choice we have to make. So what’s the point of this post?
Based on the last 30 years of OU bball makes you think that:
1) Boosters will buyout Moser’s deal &
2) Castiglione will make a better hire &
3) Castiglione will work with boosters to bump OU mbb’s NIL budget by 50% (just to get OU to the SEC’s average NIL budget)
especially while the football program is in flames.
