Trae has been and is so seemingly level headed, that Lon has used his play and Trae to garner billions of dollars in free TV time. No doubt, Lon is looking toward the future regarding recruiting and attendance.

Very simply, it has become lost on Lon that he is just a freshman kid and he hasn't handled it well "internally" and he is just handling great on the outside. If he would step back and look at the matter objectively, he would see that the pressure to perform, not just for the team, but ESPIN and the entire backetball world is dramatically impacting his game performance. He is "must see TV" we hear on a daily basis.

The fix. Immediately and completely stop Trae's media responsibility and access, save and except post game sessions.

We are already seeing some of his teammates do what they need to do to take some of the responsibility, CJ, Muni and now Kam, e.g. return to their aggressive form and not just watch Trae play.

We can turn this around, but we need to winout at home. Then, get our bearing back before the NCAA tourney.

I agree with everything you said except throttling back on the media. It may be too late for that.

It’s also obvious Trae is enjoying the limelight. And, for the most part, he has handled it extremely well for a young man his age. It’s not his fault that he has become “must see television,” as you correctly put it, on a daily basis.

Remember Lon's comment about the SEC Challenge? All the teams lose that week off they used to have during the conference season. When you are a Sr/Jr laden team, that's probably not a big deal. But when you start 2 freshmen, I think it hurts.

I don't think there is much that can be done about the media's obsession with Trae.

Big difference between hitting a shot "you have to make" and shooting when there is no pressure.

I literally think I can see "responsibility" sitting on his shoulders. It is making him tight. Virtually, ever shot is short by an inch or two.

From my standpoint, he really hadn't had a bad game until yesterday. It was easily his worst game. Surely, nobody thought a freshman point guard would go the entire year without an off or bad game.

It isn't that he couldn't have played better on occasion, but I have thought until last night that it was the other guys and not Trae that was the problem. Last night it was trae.

This doesn't detract from that fact that is has been a blessing that he came to OU and is playing for us. I greatly appreciate it. I would give a body part or two if he would come back. He would be greatly improved, as would his teammates.

Win on Saturday, get some positive vibes back and turn it around. Keys are trae freeing up and CJ, Kam, Doo and Muni continuing to develop and play with confidence.

If I recall KSU wasn't so good but I agree, Trae has played exceptional all season. Heck his bad game is 19 points and it was not a good performance but he was excellent at the line and managed to score on several drives. He also had several really good passes. If you get 19 on about your worst shooting night every, you are pretty good.
