I dont post much but i do read a ton on here, always trying to learn more about the team. the last few years since hield was a freshman along with cousins and then we got spangler the next year. i was very confident, but there is always those teams you can not beat and then we would lose games to teams we were better than, like in the tournament. This years team has had a different feel from the time buddy said he was coming back. we had a really good class and i could not wait for the washburn scrimmage to see the newcomers. they looked impressive but not only that, physically they looked liked they should be there which was a huge positive for me. they look ready for the grind. I am by no means saying we will beat the kansas at kansas and dukes, and kentuckys of the world, but i feel like we can. i think thats whats different from years past. Im not scared of anybody. roll the ball out and lets play. this team has a chance to beat absolutely anybody and i think thats whats so exciting about this year! I ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!! im like a kid on christmas mornign!

Great post! I'm so excited too!

A big difference between the past 2 seasons and this season, at least for me, is that I finally feel like I can trust them. In the past two years, if we were down 2-3 in the final minute, I didn't trust them to pull it out. If we had a lead of 15+ points, I didn't trust that they wouldn't blow it. This year, they have a swagger about them. They're ready to go.

Well said, Soonerlover12! With posts like that, you need to post more often!

I think nearly every Sooner fan on this board can relate to the excitement you feel. I know I can. Here we are on the eve of the tip off game to start the regular season and we're still wondering when, or if, our 7 foot center will play?

The big difference in this year and last year when Thomas's eligibility was in question, we're not concerned about depth. If Kruger wanted to begin the season with a ten man rotation, he can do that and not miss a beat.

This team not only has depth, it has experience with four starters back, size, perimeter shooting and a host of options to draw from, depending on the match ups. Scoring in the post may have to be by committee this season, but I don't see that as a problem either.

As you said, bring it on!

Great post SL12

The best thing about the newbies imo is that all the guards have Big 12 ready bodies. There aren't any Ray Willis types out there. That should bode well for them to be able to help contribute during the big games and in games that adversity hits (foul trouble or injury)
