Kansas has one hell of a tough path to the Final Four with with North Carolina, VCU-Michigan and Florida in their way.

Agreed. Man, Michigan is playing on some kind of high level right now. Wow.

This is also the problem I have with the VCU style of play. When you can overwhelm your opponent, you look pretty good. But when you face a team that isn't going to turn it over.....a team with elite guards, you have answer. It's kind of like the KU teams of the early 2000's. I don't think Bill Self had many answers when his defensive pressure wasn't overwhelming teams and leading to easy hoops. That is why OU played them close outside of the Phog most years, and beat them several times.

Wichita State and Butler are good examples that you don't need burger boys to have good teams and a good program. You need players who want to work to improve their game and listen to their coaches and be good teammates as well as have a basketball skill and some talent. I'd take that Baker kid and a few other WSU players in a heartbeat.

Marshall was one of my choices, behind Lon, when we hired LK and I've always thought he was/is a great coach. Not many on here wanted him, but he can coach.

Maybe the most overrated 1 seed in history. When you play in the Big West or whatever conference Gonzaga plays in, you will not be prepared.

Wichita St is better than most people realize and Greg Marshal is a great coach. They defend, rebound, and have some great shooters. They're a tough minded team of really good ball players led by a great coach. No top 50 players. They're going to be a tough matchup for everyone left in that regional.

You really could make an argument that they've been better than any Oklahoma school over the past 4 year period.

It didn't hurt that every shot the put up late in the game went in. Even some no coach in their right mind would have wanted shot.

If you hit your shots and your good players play well you will do OK in the NCAA. When only one player shows up and you don't hit shots you will go home early.

Guess I picked the wrong games to watch WSU during the season, b/c they never really impressed me. One was the L to Northern Iowa.

I figured Gonzaga and GT would go down early, just had the wrong teams doing it. Thought GT would probably land in the Sweet 16 before losing, thought Pitt or Zona would take down Gonzaga.

I've got Creighton over Duke in my #1 bracket. I think they can play with Duke, as long as they can score the basketball.

Not sure they can hold this effort up, but they have certainly proven their worth and their fans are good ones!!!

No, you just need Burger Boy(s)/Future NBAer(s) on your roster if you want to win the championship. And isn't that the ultimate goal?
