NCAA Violation

Really doesn't matter. If it happened and is documented somewhere and OU didn't know, they should have. That's how it could be viewed by the NCAA for a program recently off probation and now with problems under three consecutive coaches.

It does matter. If OU knew about this shortly after the Europe trip and waited to self report until after a second incident in the Bahamas, the penalty would be more severe. It's not rocket science.

What walk on is the snitch? He needs to be run off too. Little weasel. Nobody in their right mind considers a few bucks to the players "cheating". How much does Kruger get paid? Millions. It's a business and the players are exploited.

I said this same thing to the guy I talked to. He said it's likely the kid thought he was doing the right thing. Didn't understand the reality of the situation.

If an athlete wants money then a booster can easily get it to him. The big problems happen for a school when a coach is involved, and then it's big time when they lie or try to cover it up. I just hope a coach wasn't involved although with the situation it is definitely a possibility.

Were all the walkons dressed out last night? Were they in the Bahamas?

I bet the team knows who the walk-on was.... at the next game look for the walk-on with the black eye.

I bet it was Fraschilla.

Did they? You sure? Has been alleged the same type of infraction occurred in Europe, while the program was still on probation. If true, and the guy was kept around to continue knowingly violate NCAA rules, that would absolutely constitute lack of institutional control.

It has also been alleged that you hump sheep. Is that allegation accurate or were you simply trying to help that animal over the fence?

It is the right thing to do. It was $100 a player. Not all players. About half.

And just think how asinine it is for the coaches to be dressed in $3,000 suits and making millions and the players aren't allowed to be given a Benjamin for walking around money.

There is cheating going on. The players are being cheated.

Yeah the system stinks. There are some kids that come to schools like OU with almost nothing.

Based on what we know now, can we be certain any of the players actually took the money? Joe C's statement in his release seems to suggest that may be the case:

This particular support staff member has been dismissed, and any eligibility matters have been resolved, with no other issues in that regard anticipated.

As for the walk on who spilled the beans, I applaud his decision. He's obviously a lot smarter than Yo Yo. If what the booster and Yo Yo were doing had continued unchecked, it would have only gotten worse. Maybe this will put an end to the likelihood that any trouble we may have with the NCAA as the result of this infraction would be far more severe down the road a ways.

Good for the walk on. Takes a lot of courage to do the right thing. Some of you people are ridiculous
