Eric Bossi (former scout, now rivals national recruiting guy) just tweeted this.

While we're at it. Hearing a lot of chatter about Neil Dougherty possibly ending up on the bench as an assistant at Oklahoma.

Again, I'm no pro at coaching stuff like @goodmanonfox. Just passing along some chatter that has circulated with some guys I've talkd to.

Neil is the former TCU head coach (2002-2008) and Kansas assistant (1995-2002).

If this is true that would be a good get IMO. He has HC expierence, and was on Roy's staff at Kansas.

Would make sense. Experience in Texas and the Big 12, and even a little in Oklahoma, as he played at Cameron.

I really hope this is true. Would be a very solid hire by Capel, IMO.

More on Bossi's thoughts
@soonersam No great feeling. I generally suck at those type of predictions. But have heard from more than one person.

Hey, if true, it sounds like a really good get. Sharp, young(ish) and I like the regional experience he would bring.

These clips give a little insight into how he looks at the game.

:clap for :jcapel

If this is true Jeff has surpassed any expectations on a new coach and recruiting class i had in mind. way to go Jeff

So we need solid footing in the DFW area for the next several recruiting seasons, right? I'd think that a 7-year head coach at TCU might know the lay of the land...

If the hire comes to fruition, Capel just knocked one out of the park.

Oronde looked as if he was dreaming of better days; Stan Heath and Oronde just chilling out with a cold beer and fishing down by the Illinois river with nothing but the ladies in between them and their hooks. Best days evah.

im already seeing some sooner fans saying this would be a horrible move... that he is one of the worst d1 coaches in the country and not a very good recruiter, he took a decent billy tubbs squad and completely ran it into the ground because he couldnt recruit the dallas area players... what to believe???
