New look Sooners begin season >>> The Oklahoman

Okay, I'll admit it, I'm very excited to see what we are today, on November 2nd. I wish I could be there to see it in person. Need to get a feel for chemistry, camaraderie, and effort in game situations. If the baseline for those is high enough, these guys just might surprise some people this season. Pay attention to timeouts, warm ups, the bench, and entering and exiting the gym, in addition to what happens between the lines.

This quote is a real statement about this year's team. It's hard to get something like this to happen even in high school:

"Capel said a perfect example was he scheduled two practices one day last week. The first practice was at 6 a.m.

"I got there at 5:30 (a.m.). At 5:40 every guy on our team was out on the court," Capel said. "I was shocked to see that and really happy about that. These guys have had the right attitude every day..."

I know I am a geek but it gets me all excited to hear that this group is so pumped up to get better. That's exactly what we need and it will certainly show on the court.

I suspect the difference will be night and day compared to the crap we saw last year.
