Third inning
Nicole Pendley grounds out to pitcher
Arnold walked on four pitches
Lauren grounds out to pitcher, Arnold to second
Shelby intentionally walked
Paige walked on four pitches, Shelby to second, Arnold to third
Erin popped to second.
0-2

With neither Erin nor Lauren hitting, we may have to pull Stevens at the first sign of trouble. Erin has left a lot of runners on base in the past week or so, and she is not hitting anything even mildly hard.

Smith struck out looking on a 2-2 pitch
Land grounded out to third. 0-0 pitch
Schkade grounds to short on a 1-2 pitch
0-2

Congrats to Lauren, glad that she finally got a pitch to hit. I think that she will loosen up now that she has the record (obviously did, she followed it up by belting a double at her next at-bat).

I think congrats are in order for Kelsey as well, as she got her first win in a long, long time. Patty didn't pull her when we got behind and it's a step forward. I probably would expect her to get a start on the weekend, probably Sunday.

I think it was the North Texas pitcher, Kenzie Grimes, who can be seen clapping after the home run.

Congrats to Lauren and to Kelsey too.

Thanks, Syb, for the play-by-play. Appreciate it.

I don't know which pitcher gave up the homerun but she was clapping for Lauren, as well as, the catcher. Three other players were around those two in the infield and maybe had clapped too, but not shown in the clip at soonersports.com. The pitcher after clapping kind of has an embarrassed smile, like she did not want to give a homerun up to Lauren, but was giving Lauren her due.

Have a feeling Lauren and the entire team may do better now. That had to affect everyone.
