New softball thread

The start time has been moved back to 4pm today.

What with all of the time juggling to accommodate the weather, what will happen to ESPN televising the game? Earlier, it was gonna be played at 11AM, then 12:30PM, in either case to be tape-delayed on ESPN2.
With it being moved back to 4PM, I am unclear as to whether ESPN2 will still be televising it? Maybe live-streamed on ESPN3? Does anyone know?

OU doesn't know if ESPN will televise the game or not. I suspect something will be announced within an hour or two.

Per SoonerSports.com ESPN coverage is to be determined. Presently ESPN2 has E:60 (WWE behind the curtains what it takes to make a WWE Superstar) and SportsCenter so they are capable of switching schedules if they want to do so.

The weather channel is forcasting a 75-80% chance of rain from 2-5pm so I doubt that the game will be played as the field is the reason for today's delay to the afternoon.

That didn't take long. It was just announced the game will not be televised.

So, in the event that the field is unplayable, will they postpone the game (to another day?), try to make the game at Stillwater a double-header and forgo the home game, or outright cancel the game(s)?

Since regional assignments and seedings will be determined in the next day or two, would the cancellation of today's game (possibly tomorrow's, too) have any adverse effect on our girls?

Sooner Sports TV is going to provide a free stream of the game, if they get to play.

Weather.com is showing that Norman is only 5% chance of precip for the next couple of hours, so it's possible that they could've gotten the game played had they stayed with the 11 AM start time...

All I can think is that the field was too wet to play early?

SEC tournament:

Tennessee 2
Florida 1

Alabama 1
Auburn 7

Tennessee and Auburn to play for the SEC title.

Conflicting information: weather permitting will the game be played today or tomorrow? If today, when? If tomorrow, when? Thanks,Syb.

The softball tweet says the game today has been cancelled. They didn't use the word postponed.

Started raining again about an hour ago. Wonder if they can celebrate the seniors at NCAA tourney?
