I just started watching the game...so 4 minutes into the second half....how is thompson looking? Is he going after the rebounds and playing hard and tough basketball? I sure hope he prooves me wrong because I think he is soft

Have we tried the 4 guard lineup? Taking out thompson and putting in newell bumping cade to the 4?

Thompson, although with shortcomings....has played pretty great. I am VERY impressed with this dude:

1. great no-look passes
2. hit a three, looks like he has a nice stroke and can hit from farther out
3. has taken a couple of charges
4. gotten some boards

he just looks like the ultimate team player out there. Such a nice breath of fresh air.

His vision and passing were super impressive tonight.

I was very dissapointed that he neither blocks shots, nor rebounds very well. He had 6 rebounds where a guy like Taylor Griffin would have had 14. He played a bunch of minutes and allowed a bunch of second chances for Coppin State. He can't jump and doesn't have much size/weight to help him rebound. Unless CJ Washington proves to be a great rebounder, we are going to be in big trouble on the boards this year.

But on the offensive side of the ball he is very skilled. His passing ability is great for a guy his height and he can obviously shoot the ball from 3-pt range and the FT line. He can stretch the floor and really helps our spacing and ball movement on offense. Plus having a 6'9" guy that can shoot 3's is a real weapon.

Right on with the rebounding, just doesn't have much elevation. Could have easily have 12-13 boards...

Some real nice work working up to the high post and bounce passes to cutter or low post.

I liked after he hit that three how he kept his shooting up halfway down the court (Wesley Snipes White Men Can't Jump Style) to let Coppin State know about it.
