Big 12 North went 3-0 in the 1st round. Big 12 South went 2-2. Should be interesting to follow from here on out. I think Frank Martin and Mike Anderson have gone a long way to balancing out the conference. Hopefully, Bzdelik can continue to build so that we could be looking at having 4 good teams in the North.

No doubt about it.... As for Bzdelik, I think the have a real chance at the NCAA Tournament next year with Higgins, Burks, Relphorde, and Sharpe as their core group of players.

They are after Antione Lundy and they have Guy-Marc Michel in this weekend... Guy-Marc is a 7'1'' (with a 7'6'' wingspan) juco center who will be choosing between Colorado and Gonzaga (both have offered). He is a good rebounder and blocked 95 shots last year to lead the league.

They just need a center who can get rebounds and protect the rim and they should be in the NCAA Tournament. That could be a combo of Harris-Tunks and whatever juco they land.

CU will be playing in some sort of postseason tourney next year, whether it be NCAA or NIT.

It's crazy that if OU weren't so down the Big 12 could have 9 possible tourney teams!

If you consider the seeds, the North went 2-0 in games they had no buisness losing, and 1-0 in their one toss-up game.

The South also went 2-0 in games they had no business losing but dropped both of their toss-up games.

But I do agree with your premise... I like K-State and Mizzou having strong programs.
