I don't know why college basketball doesn't have something similar to the 4 game/still redshirt rule. I hope they don't wait too long to decide. That being said Godwin has pretty far exceeded my expectations so far. He does not play like a walkon.

If we didn't have Godwin, there's no question he would have to play. But this might be best thing for him ... he's got size and skill set. Needs the athleticism, strength, agility to catch up.

According to the article below, the rule change to do just that should be in place by now.

He’s not needed rn imo. As already mentioned, Godwin appears to be very capable of being the back up 5. I think my favorite thing about Godwin is his quick jumping ability. Underrated quality is a big guy who can lift off quickly.
