I guess you saw that OSU lost to Abilene Christian (in Stillwater) by 10 points tonight in the opening round of the WNIT.

Embarrassing for the conference.

I would say embarrassing for OSU. It's too bad because I always want them to do well.

Julie Goodenough is the Abilene Christian coach. The Pokes cut her loose as their head coach in 2005 after 3 bad seasons.

To borrow a line from you..
What are you talking about? You must have gotten confused about the board you are posting on! This is an OU board, not some distant place in another part of the country.

Wow.

Your confusion about geography continues to amaze me. OSU is located in the state of OKLAHOMA - not another part of the country.

I know, map reading stumps you. Perhaps they forgot to cover that at your school.

Stillwater is a distant place. They are their own little world, wishing for what could be.

Easily amazed....nice

If anyone is watching the Iowa State vs Syracuse game, will see how over matched Iowa st is! Syracuse is so athletic it's causing them problems... Bill is trying all sorts of combinations to get back in the game but it's simple not working...

Same thoughts I had while watching them get destroyed. Another embarrassment for the conference. I'm a bit uncomfortable with these teams with losing conference records getting in the tournament. And once in a while one gets hot from the field - everything going in - and they beat a much better team. In my opinion that kind of messes up the tournament.

Simple solution invite only the top 32 teams that presently have an automatic bid. Eliminate the at-large bids. Otherwise there will me several teams in the tournament that do not deserve to be in the tournament. Likewise runnerups in the power 5 conferences are eliminated as well.

Unfortunately TV big wigs want those upsets that mess up the tournament as well the increased viewing audience and advertising revenue 64 teams provide. Nothing is going to change.

Something needs to be done. Baylor's 89 point 1st round victory points to the sad state of women's basketball.

The other teams that are beaten this way should get better or continue to get abused. I don't blame the teams that win
