Now that the entire forum has jumped off of the bandwagon

I'm still on the bandwagon. I think Buzz will do great if he's hired.

I'm standing in the middle of Buzz's wagon welcoming him with both arms!

He won't have the love for the Big East to get him in the tournament. He's actually going to have to finish in the top half of the big 12 to make the tournament.

The only folks who have jumped off the bandwagon are the knee-jerk folks. :facepalm

There's a 72.875% chance Buzz comes to Norman but there's also a 27.125% chance Joe nabs the wrong guy.

I was never on his bandwagon. The guy has done nothing in either tournament that makes me jump head over heels for him. His 1st year, he beats Utah St :woot and then loses to Mizzou in the 2nd round. His 2nd year, he loses in the 1st round to Washington. and this year, He beats Xavier, beats another big east team who they had previously beaten, and then gets blown out by UNC. Lets not forget that Crean left him some solid basketball players, McNeal, Matthews, James and Hayward were really good. And with that squad, he couldn't get pass the 2nd round in the big east tournament and the 2nd round in the ncaa tournament. They finished 11th in the big east this year. :chestram2: This is the guy we want to replace Capel!

I was never on the bandwagon but not against the choice either. I think he is acceptable but because he is "hot" we have to overpay. Tad Boyle would please me also and the savings could go into assistant coach pay which can make a difference building a staff.

If we have to overpay then pay for a proven big name.

He's 10 times better than Capel, however, you being a huge Capel supporter will probably never support him.

You would rather have an elite 8 with 3 losing seasons than 3 years in a row of NCAA play with a sweet 16 so you are obviously confused about what equals success.

I love how he's 10 times better than Capel. If Marquette was in the big 12 with that same weak non conference schedule where they beat nobody, they don't make the tournament(just like Colorado).

Look at what Capel has done for VCU. He revived that program. Unlike Capel, Buzz was left with great/good college players. Capels 1st year team, didn't have 1 player on it that would have started for Marquette the year Buzz took over. And if you haven't notice, MU's record has gotten worse every year since he has taken over.

They chose to get rid of Capel, so they better be able to bring in a coach who can do better than him...and I haven't seen any signs that Buzz is that guy....not saying he can't do it, but i've seen nothing from his record to his recruiting that makes me think he is something special.

You must be Jason Capel.
